This week we were visited by Salit Kark, of the University of Queesland, and Noam Levin, of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Salit is a conservation scientist whose wide interests include urban ecology and island biodiversity. Noam is a geographer who is interested in remote sensing and conservation planning, including the impacts of light pollution. They gave a stimulating and wide-ranging departmental seminar about their work and discussed shared research interests with staff and graduate students.
